Problem



Weather forecasters at UNMA currently download global weather data from National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) Research Data Archive. The weather data received is in grib2, a data format which is acceptable by WRF model. This data is used for weather forecasting and analysis.

However, the resulting forecast needs to be improved using WRFDA. The WRFDA is a weather modeling tool that ingests the local weather data to create an improved estimate of the forecast. The local weather is required in little_r format. A challenged faced by most weather forecaster, they wish to use this technique but don't have access to data in little_r format.
